You are our focus - that's why we had customers before code.
We understood the obstacles preventing our first customers from achieving
important business goals.
They were building their own infrastructure and not investing fast enough in innovation, new business models and customer engagement programs.
We really had customers before code. After 36 hours, two transcontinental flights and two Boardroom meetings, we had commitments for our API-first, connected device management platform... which was previously nothing more than pictures on a whiteboard.
First customers launch real solutions using our 1.0 Platform to monitor carrier cell sites and commercial DVR machines. Customer pleads: "This better not get me fired."
Still in stealth mode, but the phones are ringing, word is out, and we land our first customers outside the USA. The highlight is a global semiconductor company building an LBS solution. The platform expands beyond devices as we add APIs to integrate with external services like weather and first responder events.
We finally emerge from stealth mode and take our first outside capital. Our partners and customers invest: Diebold, CSR (Qualcomm), and Xchanging (DXC). We open a Denver office and are off to the races.
The platform now embodies more than 100 unique APIs to interact with virtually any device over any network. We expand our data management capabilities and near real-time event management. Customer base growing in Asia with our largest customer now in Australia.
The big cloud players... and everyone else, decide they want to be in the IoT platform business. WTH? IoT platforms haven't even hit Gartner's "Peak of Inflated Expectations" but they will.
This is big. Our platform now has a production-grade edge service to complement its cloud service. While the rest of the world clammers about who has the best IoT platform, we have a record bookings year, expand our offering.
From Hannover Messe, we proclaim that we are "the Edge Computing Company", damnit. EdgeIQ becomes the platform name. Edge-centric computing and device management become our total focus. We shake hands with all the IoT cloud platforms and tell them, 'good luck' and that we'll be happy to partner.
EdgeIQ platform now includes one-click, zero-touch integration with AWS IoT Core cloud service, and we achieve Advance Technology partner status with AWS.
Company signs its third-largest deal ever and the first OEM agreement that integrates our software update management service into a third-party enterprise software platform.
Not ignoring the good people in Redmond, the platform also integrates Azure IoT Hub into its one-click integration service.
Our management team and board of directors have spent decades in a wide variety of businesses that create, deploy and manage embedded devices, intelligent systems, device management, networking, and distributed computing technologies.
